CompuTech was founded in 1996 by current CEO Brett Anderson right in the heart of Davis County, Utah. Brett was inspired to start an IT company by the growing need for a liaison between enterprise-level IT vendors and fellow local, small-to-medium-sized businesses seeking technical solutions. This was the start of CompuTech—leveraging high-tier partnerships with large-scale technology firms such as Intel, Cisco, and IBM to provide better-than-direct pricing options and to translate enterprise solutions into SMB-market strategies. CompuTech prides itself on understanding and supporting the unique needs of the local, small-business community.   

Adapting with the changing market and IT needs, CompuTech broadened its IT services to include support options ranging from time and material support, managed IT packages, hardware/software troubleshooting, end-user training, network support, and consultation services. Support modalities also expanded at this time to include not only standard onsite support, but also remote services—allowing for new market reach and advanced response/resolved-time capabilities. Managed IT services have really transformed the market. Traditional T&M support follows a very reactive approach to IT whereas 24/7/365 Management and Monitoring Services allows for an advanced level of proactiveness and risk mitigation.  

Since its founding, CompuTech has had a foundational focus on cybersecurity. With ever-changing cyber threats and risks to new security innovations and solutions, CompuTech has continued to serve as a community trailblazer in protecting end-users and commercial networks. Currently, CompuTech maintains these three IT operations: efficient IT procurement, advanced support offerings, and top-line cybersecurity management. CompuTech currently has two office locations: Bountiful and St. George, UT. This has allowed the provider to service clients across the state of Utah and into neighboring states, as well.
